Dr Rachidi is a researcher at Grenoble Alpes University since September 2006. In January 2016, he was appointed Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. He was among the first researchers demonstrated the radioresistance and the enhanced DNA repair capacity in epidermal stem cells. He study the effect of the modulation of DNA repair/damage systems, after several genotoxic stresses (UV, ionizing radiation, pollutants..), on skin cells. He developped several innovative reconstructed skin models (3D, bio-printed skin) to model several types of cutaneous pathologies such as skin cancers.
